We envision building a selfless society that helps people living in distress, poverty, and during crisis. We are highly inspired and motivated by the words of Padam Shree awardee Dr. Govindappa Venkataswamy (the man who saved millions of eyes) that goes by " Intelligence and Capability are not enough, there must be joy of doing something beautiful".

Non-availability & non-affordability are the main reasons why there is a lack of quality eye care in rural India. Two million new cases of cataract are added every year. A handful of resources are not enough to address this burgeoning issue of preventable blindness, hence we need more hands and hearts to believe and join and us in the cause of eliminating needless blindness through early diagnosis, timely intervention and regular follow-up.

Majority of the work we do (out-patient + In-patient/ Surgical) are done either free or at a highly subsidized cost to the patients. Hence, donations can be made for in funds or in kind to reach out to more people with quality and affordable eye care services and facilities.
