Dr. Surendra Bhandari
An experienced health professional committed to provide Health and Educational facilities to the underserved population through various intervention projects. As a Managing Trustee of Shree PCB Trust, he has successfully implemented and mentored various projects for the people of Rajasthan ranging from facilitating health services to developing vocational and employable skills among youths.
Dr. Surendra Bhandari is a seasoned laparoscopic surgeon who has studied and trained from various parts of the world.
He was awarded “RAJIV GANDHI AWARD” for performing maximum number of Laparoscopic sterilization in Jodhpur district in 1985. He was also honored with RASTHRIYA RATAN for outstanding medical and health activities in Rajasthan and was also felicitated with BHARAT JYOTI AWARD for outstanding medical performance by the Governor of Rajasthan.
He has held many distinguished positions like board member of the VISION 2020-Right to Sight, India, member of district health society, Jodhpur and member of juvenile justice board, Jodhpur in the past. He currently spearheads Shree PCB Trust as its guiding light.
Dr. Shashi Babel completed her MBBS in 1985 from Sawai Man Singh Govt. Medical College, Jaipur. Thereafter, she did a Diploma in Anaesthesia from RNT Govt. Medical College, Udaipur. On completion of her post graduation, she moved to Iran in 1991 and worked there as a consultant anaesthetist for a few years during the challenging Iran-Iraq war period before moving to the United Kingdom.
She did a year long observership in anaesthesia at the Middlesex Hospital, London and then finally relocated to India with years of international experience on her sleeves. Since then, she has held several key positions in the medical fraternity and has been instrumental in establishing Shree PCB Trust. She has served as the secretary of the trust in its formative years and continues to be the board member with key role in trust's operations.
Apart from professional excellence, Dr. Shashi has also served as the President of an all women's club (Innerwheel Club) and is actively involved in the day to day philanthropic work of the club.
Dr. Sahil Bhandari completed his under graduation from one of the oldest medical college and hospital i.e. Stanley Medical College and Government Hospital, Chennai. Following his under graduation he completed Diploma in Ophthalmology from the most prestigious and oldest eye institute of Ophthalmology i.e. Regional Institute of Ophthalmology and Government Ophthalmic Hospital, Chennai. Then, he did DNB (Ophthalmology) from the most renowned and internationally recognized Aravind Eye Hospital and Postgraduate Institute of Ophthalmology, Pondicherry.
He later pursued a long-term Vitreo-retinal fellowship from Aravind Eye Hospital and Postgraduate Institute of Ophthalmology. He has also served for a year at the post of Senior Resident in All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Jodhpur where he independently handled all the posterior segment clinical work along with special inclination towards Retinopathy of Prematurity.
Currently, he is working as an independent consultant at Guru Hasti Netra Chikitsalya, Pipar City, Jodhpur. He has performed more than 800 posterior segment surgeries and around 12000 anterior segment surgeries. Till date Dr. Sahil has published 17 papers out of which 12 are in pubmed indexed journal. Dr. Sahil has the energy and will to take the field of academics, research and clinical work to further heights.
Dr. Mahak Bhandari completed her undergraduation from Manipal University, Mangalore. Following her MBBS, she did her Masters in surgery from MGM university, Aurangabad and went ahead with a long term Vitreo retina fellowship in one of the best institutes of Kerala i.e Giridhar eye institute.
She is a proud holder of various accolades to her name, FICO (London), FAICO (Retina and Vitreous), MRCS Edin ophthalmology.
She is working as an independent consultant at Guru Hasti Netra Chikitsalya, Pipar City, Jodhpur since 2023 and has performed various posterior and anterior segment surgeries since then.
