Regular out-patient services are available at Guru Hasti Netra Chikitsalya, Pipar City and Guru Hasti Vision Center, Pokaran on all days. Patients are screened for all kind of eye conditions.
Surgical treatment facility is available for all kind of eye diseases. Patients are also treated under insurance schemes like Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana (MAA-Yojana) and Rajasthan Govt. Health Services (RGHS).
Regular free eye screening and cataract surgery camps are held in Jodhpur, Nagaur, Pali and Jaisalmer districts in Rajasthan. These camps are held in association with local philanthropist and respective district blindness control societies.
Patients are screened for free of cost in these outreach camps, provided to and fro free transportation to bases hospital and food facilities at base hospital for undergoing free cataract surgery.
Patients with diabetes, BP and other systemic illness are at risk of developing retinal diseases which needs regular monitoring and are prime causes of irreversible blindness, if left undiagnosed. Hence, for such risk groups, we conduct regular Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Camp and those identified are provided free/subsidized treatment facility as per their need.
Apart from regular OPD and cataract services, we cater to patients in need of specialty eye disease diagnosis and treatment facilities. We have the expertise of full-time vitreo-retinal surgeons on board with us. Most of the sub-specialty treatment facilities are covered under state run MMCSBY insurance scheme for free of cost.
Refractive error is most prevalent among school going children and often left undiagnosed due to lack of awareness. Uncorrected refractive errors may lead to permanent blindness among children if left uncorrected.
We conduct regular school children eye screening camps in Jodhpur and Jaisalmer districts for identifying uncorrected refractive errors and those identified are provided free of cost high quality fibre glasses as corrective measure.
The optical store at GHC, Pipar City provides glasses to the patients at nominal charges.
